chaYkra is an eco and ethical yoga & lounge-wear brand. It was founded by British Indian sisters, Priya and Divya, based in London. The style of the launch collection is 'Brindian', fusing British elegance with Indian flair to create a unique East meets West style reflecting the identity of the brand's sister founders. The clothes are optimal for yoga & lounging due to their breathable natural organic cotton comfort. The brand has ethical consciousness at its heart, with a carefully considered supply chain sourcing from a fair trade farming cooperative. Many of the prints of the launch collection have a signature swirl 'energising' print to represent the body's spinning chakra wheels. chaYkra derives from the Sanskrit word 'chakra', meaning the energy forces in the body and reflects how yoga balances vital energy flows. The brand slogans #liveyourenergy and #wearwellness are aimed to inspire people to reinvigorate away from the daily stresses of everyday lives and find valuable escapism with wellness lifestyle practices.
