A pair of wooden earrings with a drawing of a fish (Perch).

These earrings are inspired by pictures I remember from my childhood. They were amazing detailed drawings printed on a thick card board, hanging on the walls of our primary school, titled something like: “Suomalaiset järvikalat” – Types of fish living in the lakes of Finland.

A couple of years ago I went ice fishing in Lapland and caught a fish. I knew immediately it was a Perch. I could still picture the red fins on the otherwise slightly faded drawing.

The wooden parts are laser cut based on my drawing. The hooks are handmade in the UK.
