‘Brutal Forms VI’ is a limited edition screen print featuring imagery of the Barbican centre, an iconic piece of Brutalist architecture in London.

‘Brutal Forms’ is a series of A3 screen prints by Underway Studio, directly inspired by their original portfolio ‘Printed Spaces’. Developed from studio test prints and experiments, they combine photographic elements, textures and shapes and further explore architecture, structure and form.

Limited edition of 100, printed on 280gsm Lambeth cartridge paper. Each print is numbered and signed by Underway Studio.

The paper measures 29.7 cm x 42cm (A3 size).

Underway Studio is an illustration and printmaking collective based in Brixton, South London. Founded in 2015, the four members of Underway Studio use a unique, collaborative approach to create limited edition screen prints for sale. Print designs are passed between the collective until they are finalised and ready to be screen printed. As a result, the artworks have an impression from each artist creating a unique aesthetic . Much of Underway Studio’s work is influenced by architecture, form, texture and colour. Using physical print processes means their visual language is both playful and distinctive, incorporating photography, collage, drawing and embracing any happy accidents along the way.

The current members of Underway Studio are: Aiden Barefoot, Anna Schmidt, Caitlin Parks and Melissa North.
