‘Southbank Icons’ is a handmade screen print celebrating famous cultural spaces from London’s Southbank. Featured buildings include the National Theatre, Tate Modern and the Hayward Gallery.
This limited edition screen print is a collaboration by the members of Underway Studio collective for their new portfolio ‘ Printed Spaces’.
‘Printed Spaces’ is a collection of screen prints exploring the architecture of London’s cultural spaces. From galleries to music venues, many of these structures have been repurposed over the years becoming part of the fabric that makes up our city. In recent times some of these spaces have come under threat from property developers and new laws. Underway Studio aim to show the importance of these venues today in adding to London’s cultural diversity and rich history.
Varied limited edition of 100, printed on 270gsm Lambeth Cartridge paper. Each print is numbered and signed by Underway Studio.
The paper measures 50 cm x 70cm.
