Description

Welcome to Streatham!

There are many older businesses in this artwork for example Pratts Dept Store which ran from 1850 โ€“ 1990, the Locarno Dance Hall built in 1929, and the Balihay event which was very popular at the time. You will also find St Leonardโ€™s Church, Streatham and Clapham School (if you look closely you will see the number Pi written on the white board), Batch and Co (where my artwork is on display), the Library, the Rookery, Wimpy, the Odeon and of course the ice rink.

There are plenty of local celebrities too such as George Galloway, Naomi Campbell, Sadiq Khan, DJ Grooverider, Eddie Izzard, Rapper Dave and Ken Livingstone. There is much more to be found including a confused snail, a fairy in the Rookery, a woodpecker, King Kong, a dinosaur, a missing bra, and a game of chess.
