Want to get creative and make an incredible embroidery artwork by yourself from scratch? So join Mara for a 2 hour masterclass in making your own floral inspired hoop.
In this workshop you will learn the embroidery basics and five different stitches to stitch up your own modern floral hoop! The workshop includes all the materials you need, and you’ll be guided through each step of the way by Mara.
This is perfect for beginners or for those who already stitch and want to learn from a modern perspective!
We’ll hand stitch a floral modern embroidery hoop art – maybe you want to keep it yourself, maybe you’re making it for a lovely friend or family member. The design will be pre printed on the fabric and it looks like the same as the banner of this event.
What ‘s included?
A complete embroidery kit with everything you need to stitch your first hoop . You will get to keep your hoop, needle, scissors and some thread to carry on stitching at home.
12 cm (5 inches) quality wooden embroidery hoop
A choice of Anchor threads
A square of calico fabric with your pattern printed on in heat erasable pen
2 needles in different sizes
A cute embroidery scissors
A piece of ribbon to hang your hoop with
An instruction booklet, in case you don’t finish during the workshop or you decide you’ve caught the embroidery bug and want to make more!
Plus of course the two hour workshop guided by Mara, where she will teach you everything you need to know to start you off on your embroidery journey.
