About Double Denim Kids
I started making children's wear after I had kids of my own and couldn't find the kind of quirky, comfy and robust clothes I wanted for them. I was looking for clothes that were practical and made for playing but still stylish and individual - a bit different to your average high street offer. At the same time, having children was making me became more environmentally aware, wanting to try to improve the state of the world for their sake, so sustainability became an essential aspect of what I was doing. Both denim and vintage have always been key components in my wardrobe and as I learned more about the huge amount of clothing we send to landfill, it became clear that making kids clothes using discarded adult ones was the way to go!
