I can’t think of anything happier than getting together with some like minded people to learn, sew and create.

I will guide you through how to make your own hand sewn turban headband and show you ideas for making different designs at home. Whether you are completely new to sewing or you are an old hand, you will take away skills to develop further to carry on making.

About Your Tutor

Hi, I’m Charlotte mum of 2 and 3rd generation seamstress. I have been sewing since I was a little girl having learnt from my Mum, who learnt from my Grandmother. I used to design costume and bridalwear but now run my own business Flower Child, designing and making children’s clothes and nursery textiles. Please come and find me on Instagram. In my workshops I want to create a relaxed environment for you to explore and learn.

All materials and tools
Fabric will be pre-cut so if you have a colour preference please add it to your order notes or DM via Instagram.
Take away workshop and project notes so you can make as many as you like.
You Might Like to Bring

We will be sat a while sewing so be comfy and warm
If you have a favourite sewing kit please feel free to bring it.
Food and Drink

I don’t have access to hot drinks facilities but you are more than welcome to bring your own thermos or hot drink.
I will bring some biscuits but feel free to bring any food you want.
About the Venue

We are based in Bailey Nelson’s Opticans in Old Spitalfields Market. It’s on the Brushfield side of the market in their new extension at the rear of the shop, which opens up onto the market.
