Customisable vintage cinema seats – single seat
Both the fabric and cast iron leg colour can be customised to suit your style – whether it be classic with a plain velvet and gold legs or more contemporary with a patterned velvet and coloured cast iron. Once ordered we will talk through velvet fabric and paint colour options with you before creating a seat unique to you.
Please note that fabric costs are in addition to the price of the seats shown and will vary depending on the fabric chosen. We are happy to discuss options with you before you commit to purchasing.
The shape and design of the cast iron may vary from those pictured depending which batch of seats we are working with at the time of ordering.
Before delivering your refurbished cinema seats we will:
1. Strip out and replace the old upholstery and padding
2. Strip and refinish the wooden backs, arms and seat bases and replace where needed
3. Clean and paint the cast iron legs and brackets
We supply the chairs on a wooden board to keep them stable so that they can be freestanding and don’t need to be fixed to your floor. The board will be painted or stained to blend in with your flooring or to match your decor. It is also easy to remove should you choose to fix the chairs to your floor instead.
Materials:
– We love using soft velvets on these cinema seats. It’s a nod to their past but updated with a contemporary design. All the velvets we recommend will be suitable for upholstery with the appropriate fire resistance or treatment.
– All the wood on the wooden top rail, shaped arm rests, curved seat backs and seat bases is stripped back and refinished with a durable finish, sometimes some elements are replace with new. There will be marks in the wood due to their age, but this adds to their unique character.
– The cast iron legs and brackets will be cleaned and repainted, but due to their age there will be dents and marks.

These seats are made to order so lead times do vary, depending on our current order list. They are usually around 10-12 weeks. but just get in touch for an idea of current timings.
